The Epiphany of the Lord

The star they had seen in the East guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was.

When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with His mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. (Matthew 2: 9-11).

After coming to rest “Over the place where the child was” The star receded from view. The purpose of the star that guided the wise men to the child Jesus had ended.

Today, people are looking for someone to give the security in an insecure world. You and me are called to be the star to guide them to Jesus, and show them how Jesus gives certainty direction and fullness of life.
